THE HOTEL JEHAN NUMA PALACE - BHOPAL

Jehan Numa Palace was built in the year 1890, during the rule of Nawab Sultan Jehan Begum by her second son General Obaidullah Khan, Commander-in-Chief of the erstwhile Bhopal State Forces. The Palace, more than a century old is a superb example of a medley of British Colonial, Italian Renaissance and Classical Greek Architecture. Today, after years of restorantion and reconstruction, Jehan Numa Palace has regained its past glory. An inposing and inpressive structure, it is now a unique "Grand Heritage" hotel.

ACCOMODATION

98 centrally air conditioned rooms and suites are luxurious and beautiful, yet equipped with the most modern of conveniences for comfort and relaxation. RESTAURANTS & BAR

Shahnama : A multi-cuisine restaurant, named after Persian writer Firdausi's famous book SHAHNAMA. The restaurant on the first floor bears large paintings from the book on its walls. There is an excellent and well appreciated Buffet Spread during lunch. For dinner we offer you not only delicious Indian, continental and Chinese but authentic Bhopali fare as well to be relished
in cool cheerful surroundings with live entertainment from Wednesdays, through to Sunday.

La Kuchina : Mediterranean cuisine consists of a variety of dishes such as salads, pasta, pizzas, entrees and secondi piatti cooked only in virgin olive oil tossed with exotic vegitables like bellepepper, zucchini, iceberg lettuce the finest of cheeses, mozzarella, parmesan, kwark, asiago, gouda, mascarpone. Also serving freshly ground coffee and brewed teas, soothing refreshers, coolers, cocktails and desserts.

Shergar : The bar named after Aga Khan's famous horse is a small cozy place situated near the Lobby. Wood panelled with antique-guns and an Old World charm, it is an ideal place to let your spirits soar amongst the feeling of being transported back in time.

Tattenham Corner - The Lounge Bar : Named after the final bend at Epsom Racecourse, Tattenham Corner is the Lounge Bar. A wide variety of Imported and Indian spirits, wine and draught Beer are available for our guests.

Under The Mango Tree (Garden Bar-Be-Que) : The garden Bar-Be-Que is in the inner courtyard of the Palace, with its lush green lawns, brilliant flowerbeds and quaint fountain playing softly at the center, offering sizzling mouthwatering tandoori delicacies. The atmosphere is distinctly Jehan Numa

Cafechino - Exclusive Cafe : Cafechino, fresh coffee bean café serves freshly brewed coffee. The café would provide a host of flavours in coffee and tea.

Board Room : The name says it all. This hall is designed for board meetings. It is a very well done confidential room with a beautiful mahogany oval shaped table which can accommodate ten to twelve top captains of the industry.

Central Courtyard : This is the inner courtyard of the Palace with a lush green beautiful lawn and brilliant flowerbeds and quaint fountain playing softly in the center. A huge mango tree almost half a century old is makes the atmosphere more inviting. This lawn can accommodate upto 100 people for dinner parties.

Begum's Lawn : Begum's lawn is in front of the Darbar hall with a lush green beautiful lawn and brilliant flowerbeds. A quaint fountain playing softly at the entrance. The atmosphere is very pleasing surrounded with greenery and a variety of trees.

New Lawn : This is another inner courtyard with a beautiful lush green lawn and a variety of flower beds. This can accommodate upto 200 people for dinner parties.
