THE HOTEL LAXMI NIWAS PALACE - BIKANER

Welcome to Bikaner the Heritage City, nenowned for fort and palaces that are rated the best in the state of Rajasthan and India. The Laxmi Niwas Palace, Named after the goddess of wealth and prosperity “LAXMI” consort of the creator Vishnu was the Principal residence of late His Highness Ganga Singh. It was built in the year 1902 was design by the renowned architect Sir. Swinton Jacob in the Indo Saracen style.

ACCOMODATION

Laxmi Niwas Palace was the personal residence of Maharaja Ganga Singhji of Bikaner. The residential rooms were designed keeping in mind the fact that they would be used by the Royal family itself or by the personal guests of the Maharaja as only guests of equal status to the Maharaja would be invited to spend the night in the palace.

RESTAURANTS & BAR

A luxurious multi cuisine restaurant, the Swarna Mahal is located in the private dining hall of the Royal family. Decorated with pure gold wall paintings and a gilded carved woodwork ceiling the Swarna Mahal is literally a “golden room” with an ambience that transports you to a fairy tale world of beautiful princesses and chivalrous princes. The chef takes his inspiration from the famed table of the Bikaner Royal Family. Apart from its regular menu Swarna Mahal also serves several mouth watering local specialities.

The Bar : This well stocked bar serves a wide range of drinks and a variety of cocktails. Decorated with trophies from the hunting expeditions of the kings, the Trophy bar is the ideal retreat for enjoying your drinks.

CONFERENCE & BANQUET

This beautiful hall was the private audience room of Maharaja Ganga Singhji. The green wooden and gold theme wall painting with a carved and gilded wooden ceiling was designed to provide an ambience conducive to serious thinking. The audience room has been witness to many important cabinet meetings of the Bikaner State. Today it is the conference hall of The Laxmi Niwas Palace. Equipped with all major facilities it provides the perfect backdrop for an unforgettable conference.
